6TH JANUARY 2018 AT HUC BHUGA
Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord & Saviour, who the Chief Shepherd and the Head of the Body of Christ. It is of great pleasure to address you on this wonderful day after we have crossed over to the New Year – 2019. 2018 had its own ups and downs, in spite of a number of challenges which we have encountered as a Church, we have also managed to score and record a number of successes or achievements.
ACHIEVEMENTS & CHALLENGES
You would recall the 2018 Theme which the Apostle announced that it was all about not breaking a bruised reed and not extinguishing a dimly burning wick (Isaiah 42:3). As a results of the above implementation of the Theme, indeed a number of souls were won, we baptized approximately 28 new Converts and the majority were coming from Mgcobaneni, Khumbula & Jerusalem. Mgcobaneni branch is coming up very strong and we are only discouraged by the snail pace processes of procuring the Church Site. The Site’s Owners have also increased their prices from R1500 TO R2500 and we are currently having R5000. Three wedding ceremonies were conducted, two were from Jerusalem and the third one was from Bhuga. We shall soon be recording another one possible around March 2019 which puts the Church into a better position of heeding to the call from the Apostle of building families. Jesus built a Church out of families, “For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior” Ephesians 5:23.
The majority of our Activities which included Fellowships, Women’s Services, Revivals & Mini-Convention managed to take place and the attendance was very good especially the Makoko Fellowship. The financial contributions which we have recorded in Makoko was one of the highest we have ever achieved as a Circuit and it was promising and encouraging. Although I must indicate that we are still lacking when it comes to tithes, I have realized that some of our Key Members who are occupying top Positions in the leadership are still not yet faithful in tithing which is disappointing and I have managed to talk to some of them and they have promised to correct the unbecoming behaviour or conduct because it is not acceptable at all. I have also engaged some our Pastors about some branches which are not tithing and we have agreed with them that such should be corrected going forward and I am expecting that as we begin 2019, we shall all begin it on a clean slate or sheet and No Ill feelings, the Church is the Body of Chirst. I have also realized the passiveness of Men’s League within the Circuit and we are encouraged of the commitment by the Chairperson and its Leader. They have reported that the problem was with the Committee, seemingly some are no longer active as anticipated and they are working hard to resolve the impasses.
FUTURE PLANS & 2019 DECLARATIONS
The Apostle has strengthened its Pastoral Leadership by re-allocating his Pastors for the purpose of building and strengthening the smaller branches. Makoko, Khumbula & Nhlalakahle are expected to be at the same level as Jerusalem and Bhuga which is a good sign that reservoir branches shall increase from two to five. The Government has approved the minimum wage bill and now Worker in South Africa should receive less than R3500 hence the Pastors (Pastor Sekwane, Pastor Mbuyane & Pastor Khoza) of the above mentioned branches should work very hard to grow the coffers of the Circuit. In the meantime the Apostle will ensure that the current Reservoir branches (Bhuga & Jerusalem) are working hard to meet the minimum wage. The Circuit shall this year going to celebrate its Second Year Anniversary in October which will be coupled the 50th Year Birthday Celebration of the Apostle. The Apostle has been for the past years observing the poor attendance of the District Easter Conventions at Mzinti by the Circuit and the reasons for poor attendance are as a result of unavailability of accommodation facilities and the distance in between. On the basis of the above the Apostle has recommended that for the sake of growth, Circuit should hold its own Easter Convention at Jerusalem for those members who are unable to attend the District Easter Convention. The Circuit will still have selected members who will attend the District Easter Convention at Mzinti to avoid non-attendance at all. The Apostle is further advising that the Circuit shall also be hosting its own New Year Celebration as a Circuit for the year 2019.
THEME FOR 2019
Before one could pronounce the Theme of the Year, its imperative to indicate that God pours His anointing upon us and gives us authority, we must first submit ourselves under authority. Paul said this in Romans 13:2, “Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves”. We are having a responsibility of not rebelling against the authorities. God Is the Source of All Authority, By virtue of Who He is as creator of all things, God is the sovereign ruler of the universe. He has all power and all authority, and He entrusts roles of leadership to individuals in the family, the church, the workplace, and the government. The orderliness we find in structures of authority reflects the order of God’s own nature. God is a Trinity: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Father sent the Son into the world as Savior and Redeemer. (See I John 4:9.) Jesus was obedient to God the Father. (See John 5:19.) When Jesus returned to heaven, He and the Father sent the Holy Spirit to comfort Jesus’ disciples, lead them in all truth, remind them of the words of Jesus, and empower them to carry out Jesus’ commission to spread the Gospel. (See John 14:26, 15:26, and Acts 1:8.)
Each member of the Trinity works within the structure of authority and fulfills a specific role, perfectly complementing the others and demonstrating God’s glory. The members are not independent of one another, but God the Father is recognized as the authority Who directs and empowers the Son and Holy Spirit to carry out His will. God ordained human authority in four areas and established a specific chain of command in each area. This structure does not express superiority or inferiority. Just as each member of the Trinity is essential to express the fullness of God, so within social structures each role in the chain of authority is necessary for the success of the relationship. God entrusts husbands with the leadership of the family unit. A husband is to love his wife as he loves himself. A wife is to submit to the leadership of her husband, coming alongside him as a helpmate. Parents are responsible to train their children, and children are to honor and obey their parents. (See Ephesians 5:21–6:4 and Proverbs 6:20–21.)
Within the church, the leadership of pastors, elders, and teachers is essential for the health of the Body of Christ. Believers are to honor and respect leaders and to submit to one another and walk in humility. (See Ephesians 4:11–16, Hebrews 13:17, and I Peter 5:1–11.) GOD THE FATHER- CHRIST – APOSTLES – ELDERS – DEACONS – THE CHURCH
“inkazimulo yakho igcwele amazulu nomhlaba, hallelujah” – worship hymn
Paul in turning to authority he first began clarifying the order from home first (1Cor.11: 2 – 3) and in 1Timothy 3: 4 – 5 for Bishops and pastors, for deacons in verses 11 – 12
- Regardless of the calling on our life he Samaritan woman finally accepts Jesus’ offer of living water, he says to her: “Go, call your husband and come here.” (John 4:16)
- Jesus acknowledged the authority, he knew that a woman is led by a husband hence He demanded the Samaritan about her husband
- Any person has got a leader, anointing flow from top to down (from a Leader to followers)
- Secondly, the Samaritan after her convert she went out to town to call other to the man he has helped her, she never call the people out for herself
- Same to us, when preaching or calling people, we don’t do it for ourselves but our Leaders, in your case as Preachers, you call them to Pastors and Pastors to Apostle
- John 6:38, f or I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. AWUTENTELI
- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26)
- Matthew 6:9-13 Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name
Therefore, our Theme of the year 2019 is found from Galatians 6: 8 “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. “SOWING OR INVESTING TO THE SPIRIT NOT TO THE FLISH”
Hope you find this in order
